About me
Dr. Vrij graduated as MD from the ERASMUS University in the Netherlands. He then completed a 3-year training program covering Emergency Medicine, Surgery and Health Management resulting in a Diploma of Tropical Medicine. That extra training enabled him to work for the Dutch Government in remote areas of Botswana and Zimbabwe as a General Officer and later a District Medical Officer.
After Africa, Dr. Vrij moved to Scotland where he completed his JCPTGP training, and worked in General Practice before moving to Australia. He has worked in Mildura and Ballarat and has been a Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners – FRACGP – since 2007.
Apart from covering most aspects of general practice, Dr. Vrij has an interest in:
- Preventative health management
- Skin checks
- Minor surgical procedures
- Continuous blood sugar monitoring in diabetics – CGM
- Medical education / supervision of students

Non-Attendance Fee: If you fail to attend an appointment, or cancel without adequate notice, there will be a non-attendance fee of $60.00 charged. Failure to attend an initial consultation will result in a non-attendance fee of $163.50.
